uniform jerseys when they visit the New Orleans Saints in Week 10 because of a golf bet between coaches Doug Pederson and Sean Payton.Payton said Monday that he lost a wager to Pederson on a golf course at the NFL meetings in March so the Super Bowl champion Eagles will get to choose their green home jerseys when they play the Saints on Nov. 18.Pederson said his ”competitive juices” were flowing and he wanted to beat Payton. It took three holes for a victor to be declared.Payton recalled the hole involved him shooting into the water.Pederson Tommylee Lewis Color Rush Jersey , Payton and Arizona State coach Herman Edwards spoke to reporters on a conference call in advance of their appearance in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe later this month.—AP NFL website: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL Name just about any position on a football field– and within a coaching staff– and Colin Cowherd will probably point to the Los Angeles Rams as having the best in the league. Pair that with the fact the Rams find themselves standing alone as the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team (7-0) and LA once again reigns supreme atop the Herd Hierarchy.Coming off a 39-10 trouncing of the San Francisco 49ers on the road in a game they forced four turnovers and outgained their opponent by 103 yards, the Rams continue to demonstrate their balanced attack all over the field. That said, Cowherd cautions this week’s rankings were the closest they’ve been in awhile: “[The Saints] are one good corner away from being the number 1 team.”
New Orleans’ offense has the slight edge in point production, averaging 34 PPG compared to LA’s 33.6, but the Rams’ defense is certainly what gives them the nod over the NFC foe. The Rams are only giving up 327.4 YPG vs. the Saints’ 366.0; however Josh LeRibeus Jersey , the largest discrepancy comes in points allowed per game, where the Rams’ 18.3 blows the Saints’ 27.2 out of the water. As Cowherd points out, LA’s dominance can be attributed to just about any position group or coach or scheme or anything else. Regardless which you pick Marcus Davenport Color Rush Jersey , the answer is still the same: they’re good. And because of that, for at least one more week, the Navy and Gold are Kings of the Hill once again.

Joe Flacco knows it’s easy to point to his increasingly gaudy stats

or the rainbows he’s uncorking with ease as proof that he’s truly back. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback doesn’t quite see it that way.Sure https://www.steelerssportshop.com/Rod-Woodson-Jersey , he feels great. Yet he believes the credit for his team’s hot start should go to the 10 guys on the field with him every play. They’re the ones doing the hard work. Flinging the ball all over the place as he did in a 26-14 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night is the easy part.“It’s not like today was the toughest Pittsburgh Steeler games I’ve ever played,” Flacco said. “I’ve played really, really tough football games against these guys and probably thrown for 150 (yards) but I take pride in some of those games because I battled really, really hard.”The battle was easier this time around for Flacco thanks to a redesigned offense that focuses on creativity and diversity. Flacco completed 28 passes to 11 different players while finishing with 363 yards passing and two scores as the Ravens (3-1) created some early separation between themselves and the Steelers (1-2-1).“The way our guys battled up front today and the way our guys on the outside got open, it didn’t have to be one of those (typical Steeler) games,” Flacco said. “I was able to stand back there with confidence and not too many guys around me, and that helps.”The 33-year-old Flacco stressed, “I’m not throwing the ball any different, we’re a better offense.”One that can attack defenses in a variety of ways. Flacco opened the scoring with a beautiful 33-yard strike to John Brown on Baltimore’s first possession and added a 3-yard flip to running back Alex Collins later in the quarter. He wasn’t quite as explosive, but perhaps even more effective in the second half while putting together four extended drives that ate up the clock and kept Pittsburgh’s potent offense off the field.Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg an “A-plus” on game planning,“We want to be creative, we want to keep people off balance but yet be physical with what we are doing,” Harbaugh said.Baltimore was able to do all three while ending a three-game losing streak to the Steelers Rocky Bleier Color Rush Jersey , who find themselves tied with Cleveland for last in the division a quarter of the way into the season.“We don’t like where we are, but we accept it,” Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said. “We understand that this is our doing. We just got to keep working.”STEELERS SPUTTERPittsburgh’s leaky defense has taken plenty of heat during the team’s sluggish start. Yet the offense looked ordinary for stretches and downright overmatched in the second half. The Steelers managed just 47 yards and three first downs after halftime.“I don’t think I’m on the same page as anybody right now,” Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said after completing 27 of 47 passes for 274 yards with a touchdown and an interception. “I’m not playing well enough. I need to play better.”He’s hardly the only one. The Steelers did nothing on the ground. Pittsburgh ran for 19 yards on 11 carries.“We were not able to find enough traction tonight,” Tomlin said.FLAG DAYThe Steelers entered the game as, by far, the most penalized team in the NFL. For the first time all season, the opponents drew more attention from officials. Baltimore was called for seven penalties for 50 yards while Pittsburgh was flagged five times for 40 yards.INJURIESSteelers: Lost wide receiver and special teams ace Darrius Heyward-Bey to an ankle injury in the first half. Safety Nat Behre exited with a pectoral injury in the second half.UP NEXTRavens: visit Cleveland to play Baker Mayfield and the Browns (1-2-1). Baltimore has won five straight in the series.Steelers: Welcome Atlanta (1-3) to Heinz Field. CINCINNATI (AP) — Ben Roethlisberger saw the defensive alignment and knew immediately that the Pittsburgh Steelers had a chance for a winning touchdown. All he had to do was get the ball to Antonio Brown right away.Brown took a few strides, caught the pass and ran behind Justin Hunter’s block for a 31-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left Sunday and yet another improbable — and entirely predictable — victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers’ 28-21 win made it eight straight and counting over their AFC North rival.“We’ve been in that situation a lot, and I knew we were going to do it,” Brown said. They always do.James Conner ran for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the eve of Le’Veon Bell’s possible return to help the Steelers (3-2-1) get ahead, but they had to pull off their third last-minute rally at Paul Brown Stadium to extend the streak.Joe Mixon’s 4-yard touchdown run with 1:18 got the Bengals (4-2) thinking they might finally have their breakthrough. Roethlisberger and the Steelers stunned them again.Big Ben came to the line on the decisive play and saw that the Bengals were set for an all-out blitz with no safeties to guard against a big play. He immediately thought touchdown.“When you see that look, it’s how fast can I get him the ball Terry Bradshaw Jersey ,” said Roethlisberger, who is 14-2 in his career at Paul Brown Stadium.Brown caught the ball in stride, cut Hunter’s block and outran the secondary for the winning score, leaving thousands of Steelers fans twirling their towels in the stands while stunned Bengals fans stood and watched a familiar ending. The Bengals are 2-16 against the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium during coach Marvin Lewis’ 16 seasons, including a pair of playoff losses.“Imagine how we feel,” Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick said. “I imagine how the fans feel.”These Ohio River rivalry games are usually nasty, and this one had its moments. After Andy Dalton’s final pass fell complete, several players got into a scuffle in front of the Cincinnati sideline. After a sloppy September, the Steelers have won two in a row and found their stride behind Conner , who became the featured back when Bell decided to hold out. Conner has run for more than 100 yards in each of the last two games, and his pair of 1-yard touchdown runs Sunday put him in the company of a pair of Steelers Hall of Famers.Conner has seven rushing touchdowns in six games, joining Franco Harris (1976) and Jerome Bettis (2004) as the only Steelers with that accomplishment.“James was a bowling ball today,” said Roethlisberger https://www.steelerssportshop.com/Ryan-Switzer-Jersey , who joked that it was probably the running back’s final game amid reports that Bell would return.JuJu Smith-Schuster had a spectacular catch — leaping over cornerback Darqueze Dennard and taking the ball way — that set up Conner’s second touchdown.Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd had a solid game against his hometown team, catching touchdowns of 2 and 14 yards .Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict was in the middle of several dustups. He had words with Roethlisberger only 3 minutes into the game. He stepped over Conner on the running back’s first touchdown, prompting a teammate to push him away before the situation could escalate.Burfict also hit Brown in the head — he wasn’t penalized — after a catch, causing the receiver to leave for a couple of plays. In 2015, Burfict’s hit to Brown’s head helped the Steelers rally for an 18-16 playoff win. On Sunday, Burfict yelled at a reporter in the locker room after the game for asking a teammate about the latest hit on Brown’s head.“A nasty hit,” Brown said.SHAZIER’S RETURNSteelers linebacker Ryan Shazier returned to the stadium where he suffered a spinal injury last December. He’s been on the sideline for games this season. His return to Paul Brown Stadium was emotional for all the Steelers.“He’s inspired us,” coach Mike Tomlin said. “Hopefully he’s inspired many outside of us.”DALTON MOVES UPDalton finished 26 of 42 for 229 yards, moving ahead of Boomer Esiason for second on the Bengals’ career passing list behind Ken Anderson. Dalton fell to 3-12 against the Steelers.INJURIESBengals: RB Giovani Bernard missed a second straight game with a knee injury. LB Nick Vigil left with an injured left knee in the first quarter. Dennard hurt his right shoulder on Smith-Schuster’s catch and didn’t return. S Shawn Williams left in the second half with a concussion.UP NEXTSteelers: Have their bye week.Bengals: Play Sunday night at Kansas City. The Bengals are 0-5 on Sunday night since 2011.

There are a host of running back battles that will continue through

the second week of preseason games that will eventually be resolved by either a clear winner or some sort of committee that fantasy owners dread.BRONCOS: Incumbent Devontae Booker had just two carries in Denver’s preseason opener while rookie Royce Freeman ripped off a nifty 23-yard touchdown run. Booker should see more touches Sunday against the Bears Adam Gotsis Color Rush Jersey , but Freeman is gaining momentum and should overtake Booker as the Broncos‘ lead back. Consider Freeman in the middle portion of the draft, especially in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.EAGLES: LeGarrette Blount’s departure to the Lions opens the door to a host of touches near the goal line. Jay Ajayi will be a huge sleeper if Philly entrusts him with the bulk of the red zone touches, but Super Bowl hero Corey Clement will be a factor as well. How the Eagles plan on using Darren Sproles could snatch touches from both, as this sets up to be an annoying committee situation.JETS: Bilal Powell could be a late-round sleeper as he places an iron grip on the starting job. Powell opened camp in a battle with Isaiah Crowell, but Crowell suffered a concussion in the exhibition opener against the Falcons, giving Powell — who has 128 catches over the past three seasons despite starting only 16 games — his best opportunity to become a lead back.TITANS: Expect a timeshare with Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis, with Lewis being the better choice in PPR leagues. Henry’s physical style of running makes him a good play in non-PPR formats, but both will have their red zone touches limited by the presence of quarterback Marcus Mariota and tight end Delanie Walker.REDSKINS: With Derrius Guice lost for the season, Rob Kelley tops the depth chart for now, but second-year back Samaje Perine will push him. Neither factor in PPR formats, as Chris Thompson should be ready to go after breaking his fibula in Week 11 last season. Thompson will be the pass-catching back. If he regains his speed Phillip Lindsay Jersey , fantasy owners should be confident in grabbing him in the middle rounds.SAVE MEFor a variety of reasons, there are an abundance of saves available for fantasy baseball owners to nab off waiver wires. Pedro Strop of the Cubs will be the team’s ninth inning stopper while Brandon Morrow remains on the disabled list, while the Nationals are turning to hard-throwing youngster Koda Glover after the loss of Sean Doolittle and Kelvin Herrera. A.J. Minter hammered down his 11th save on Wednesday and will hold the Braves‘ role of closer even when Atlanta gets Arodys Vizcaino returns from the DL at month’s end.The situation to watch is with the Dodgers, as Sean Alexander has faltered in replacing injured All-Star Kenley Jansen. Kenta Maeda could get a look the role, with Caleb Ferguson and J.T. Chargois also factoring in the process.JAZZ FOR THOSE MOVIN’ ON UPLook for Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell to become a top-20 caliber fantasy player this season. Projected as a fourth or fifth round pick in early draft rankings, Mitchell’s impressive postseason run will be a precursor to a leap toward superstardom.Mitchell averaged 24.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 11 playoff games in his rookie season. Heading into his second year, Mitchell, who also shot nearly 91 percent from the free throw line in the playoffs, is only lacking an improved 3-point shot from emerging as a value pick if selected outside the top 30. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) While John Elway and his staff wrap up preparations for next week’s NFL draft https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Derek-Wolfe-Jersey , it’s the Denver Broncos‘ 2017 draft class that’s really on the clock.”Well, we’re hoping they can help us this year,” Elway said Thursday.A half dozen of Elway’s 2017 draft picks either missed their entire rookie season or played so sparingly that they remain virtual unknowns.Only first-round pick Garrett Bolles had much of an impact, but he was one of the most penalized players in the league and was openly mocked in the locker room by several veterans after the tough-talking left tackle was bowled over by Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan on Christmas Eve, which they had warned him would happen if he didn’t fix his poor technique.Aside from Bolles, who started all 16 games, the 2017 draft class couldn’t get onto the field, combining for zero starts and missing a combined 75 games while playing sparingly in 37.A year after an offensive-defensive rift opened in the Broncos locker room, there was a simmering generational gap in 2017. Several veterans including Chris Harris Jr. and Todd Davis said the rookie class just didn’t grasp the NFL leap until the season was already a lost cause thanks to an eight-game skid, their longest in 50 years.Three of last year’s picks didn’t play at all – third-round wide receiver Carlos Henderson (hand), fifth-round tight end Jake Butt (knee) and seventh-round quarterback Chad Kelly (knee Todd Davis Color Rush Jersey , wrist).Three others hardly played.Defensive end DeMarcus Walker, Denver’s second-round pick, managed a single sack in 10 games after losing weight to move outside. Third-round cornerback Brendan Langley had one punt return for 6 yards. And sixth-round running back De’Angelo Henderson carried the ball just seven times for 13 yards after a terrific training camp.Meanwhile, fifth-rounder Isaiah McKenzie played much more than expected.Coach Vance Joseph raised eyebrows by handing the rookie from the University of Georgia the starting punt returner’s job early in training camp even as other position battles raged on, most notably at quarterback between Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch.Joseph also stuck with McKenzie through a half dozen fumbles that left players privately fuming that the coaches were rewarding the rookie for his persistent gaffes.McKenzie’s mistakes weren’t limited to special teams. He cost Denver a chance at points just before halftime in Week 16 when he forgot the Broncos didn’t have any more timeouts, caught a pass and instead of stepping out of bounds spun back to the middle of the field and was tackled at the 20 as time expired. If the Broncos are to rebound in 2018, a big bounce-back from their entire 2017 draft class would surely help.”Yeah, our expectations are that that class participates a lot more this year than it did last year,” Elway said. ”At least that’s the hope.”Butt was a projected first-rounder last year before he blew out a knee in his bowl game and slipped to the fifth round. If healthy, he could provide a big boost to an offense that was anemic last season.”Jake seems to be running around in good shape,” Elway said.Kelly also was considered a steal as the final player selected in Round 7 because he was recovering from multiple injuries. He could be the wild card in the quarterback room this summer because he has the chops to beat out Lynch as Case Keenum’s backup Brendan Langley Jersey , which could prompt Elway to finally move on from Lynch, whom he moved up to select in the first round two years ago only to see him languish on the bench for two years.Somebody else who needs to shake off a shaky rookie season is Joseph. He inherited a 9-7 team that was one year removed from a Super Bowl triumph and went 5-11 with eight double-digit losses last year.Joseph kept his job but brought in several new assistants as he tries to become the first head coach in the Super Bowl era to reach the playoffs after winning four fewer games than the one he inherited. It would help if the 2017 class proves first impressions were wrong and if the upcoming draft class has more of an immediate impact. The Broncos own the fifth overall pick, their highest since Elway chose superstar Von Miller with the second selection in 2011.After publicly lobbying Elway to sign free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins, Miller isn’t offering his GM any advice in advance of the draft.”I’m cool with whatever he does with that pick,” Miller said.NOTES: Elway said he was glad to be able to trade CB Aqib Talib to the Rams, one of his desired destinations. ”I know that he’ll feel comfortable playing for Wade (Phillips) out there. He knows that system very well,” Elway said.—

Raiders Las Vegas stadium parking plan scatters fans to several lots up to four miles
Posted by: laiyongcai92 - 11-13-2018, 04:41 AM - Forum: Abgeschmeckt - No Replies

Parking has been an issue since day one for the Raiders stadium plans in Las Vegas. There are only enough spaces available on the actual stadium lot to accommodate employees and few others. So http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/au...ist-jersey , the majority of fans are going to have to park somewhere else. That has proven a tricky proposition. The site itself has some 2375 spaces. That means an additional 13,875 spaces are needed to fulfill the minimum 16,250 spaces required by law for the 65,000-seat stadium. There are four sites gives the Raiders an additional 11,925 spaces, bringing the total to between 12,000 and 14,650 spaces which obviously falls short of the minimum, which means more sites will be needed. Those sites according to the Las Vegas Sun include: the Orleans (4,625 spaces), a parking lot on Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road (up to 3,625 spots) Tahir Whitehead Jersey , the former Southwest Gas facility on Arville Street and Tropicana Avenue (1,175 spots) and a parking lot on Las Vegas Boulevard and Arby Avenue (2,500).Here is the map of those sites:These sites are far enough away from the stadium (lower right) that shuttle buses will be needed to transport fans from the lot and back. The distances of those sites ranges from two miles to four miles from the stadiumThe closest site is also the smallest. It’s the Arville Tropicana (second from top right), which has between 1025 and 1175 spaces. It’s two miles away. The Orleans lot is about a half mile past that (top right). Which in Las Vegas, may as well be ten miles, because you don’t want to be walking that in the midday heat. The farthest lot will be four miles away at Las Vegas Blvd and Blue Diamond (bottom left). That one will require some freeway driving to get to the stadium. Right now that site as well as the Las Vegas and Arby site are dirt lots. More sites will need to be secured before all is said and done. And it’s so much fun so far, it will be interesting to see where the FIFTH parking lot will be scattered across the area. Follow @LeviDamienAmari Cooper frustrated with just one target in Raiders brutal loss to Chargers It’s been an on again, off again relationship in games between Derek Carr and Amari Cooper this season. Through five games, he has gone from being a non-factor, to having a big game, to being a non-factor again several times. In arguably their biggest game of the season thus far, it was the wrong week to be a non-factor again.Coop had one catch on one target for 10 yards in this game. That’s even worse than his one catch Youth Derek Carr Jersey , 9-yard game in the opener because he was at least targeted three times in that game. For the guy who is supposed to be the Raiders’ number one receiver, that can be frustrating. “Yeah, especially in a loss because you feel like you can do more to help your team win,” Coop said when I asked him if he was frustrated with having just one target.Carr said the Chargers were “definitely” trying to take Coop out of the game, adding that they put their best cover guy, Casey Heyward, on him to ensure Coop was a non-factor. Gruden said the same.“We called his number,” said Gruden of Coop. “Just because he isn’t targeted, doesn’t mean we aren’t trying. He was the primary several times today and he would tell you that. But sometimes the opposition tries to take away some guys and you have to go other places.”Coop’s games this season have gone like this:1 catch, 9 yards vs Rams10 catches, 116 yards vs Broncos2 catches, 17 yards vs Dolphins8 catches http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/au...lis-jersey , 128 yards, 1 TD vs Browns1 catch, 10 yards vs ChargersThere were several times in those two previous poor outings that it was noted Coop was open and Carr didn’t go his way. He said there were times he was open and didn’t see the ball, but added “Not every play.” Coop downplayed it a little bit, saying “everybody gets open”. Well, no one expects him to get open EVERY play. But when he is, he should probably see the ball. We’ll have to wait to look at the tape of this one to see.Going from top receiver to a disappearing act is not what you expect from your top receiver, even if the defense is focused on taking him out of the game. In each of those two games he was taken away, another of the Raiders receivers was able to have a big day. First Jared Cook, then Jordy Nelson. And last week, of course, the entire offense exploded with Carr throwing for over 500 yards Rodney Hudson Jersey , Coop, and Cook having over 100 yards receiving, and Marshawn Lynch running for over 100 yards. This week the best numbers went to Martavis Bryant who had 3 catches for 91 yards. He also had a costly fumble that led to a touchdown late in the first half. Marshawn had just 31 yards on 9 carries, and Derek Carr threw another interception in the end zone. That is all the sign of a wildly inconsistent offense that can’t be depended upon from a week to week basis.“This game is about consistency,” said Cooper. “If you’re not consistent enough, you’re not going to win enough.”The Raiders lost another one. Their worst loss of the season when they needed it the most. Already sitting at 1-3 and going against a division rival. And they put up just three points when the game was still in reach, and lose 26-10 to fall to 1-4. It was about a lot more than just taking Coop out of the game. That’s just a symptom of the overall problem that is plaguing this Raiders offense that can’t seem to get in a rhythm and get out of its own way.Follow @LeviDamien

Case Keenum has time enough to allow the crossing route to develop with Tahir Whitehead in coverage.Whitehead looks out of his depth on this coverage assignment but keep in mind Keenum is throwing under no duress, making everyone’s job in coverage that much harder. With the clock ticking, Guenther dials up one last ditch blitz attempt to get some pressure on Keenum.Guenther makes a great call here getting Bruce Irvin matched up 1-on-1 with Philip Lindsay for what should be an easy win and pressure from the defensive end.Irvin instead chops his feet and puts together a lackluster pass rush move on Keenum. It seems like fatigue is to blame here, but Irvin had more questionable reps than quality ones in this game. He needs to do better.Keenum passes the ball to Tim Patrick who only has to beat Gareon Conley.Conley had a few pass break-ups down that very sideline during the game but when it mattered most, Conley got out of position anticipating a longer throw from Keenum.Conley needs to know the situation there and play the first down throw more aggressively. The Patrick catch and run sets up Denver with the go ahead field goal to win with 6 seconds left in regulation.ConclusionRaider’s defense showed poor fundamentals all game long when it came to tackling and defeating blocks.Linebackers were ineffective in coverage allowing first downs and big gains.Guenther will need to get them help or try Nicholas Morrow in obvious passing situations. The entire secondary was missing tackles left and right.Karl Joseph once again sat out despite safeties struggling to impact the game. The lack of depth again stood out on the defensive line. The pass rush will continue to be non-existent late in games as long as the Raiders are thin at these positions.

Five things to watch in Raiders fourth preseason game vs Seahawks
Posted by: laiyongcai92 - 11-13-2018, 03:42 AM - Forum: Abgeschmeckt - No Replies

The final dress rehearsal Last chance Authentic Derek Carrier Jersey , fellas. One more game to show you belong and then let the cards fall where they may. For this one, the Raiders head to the Pacific Northwest to face the Seahawks. And while the game means little to nothing from a win/loss standpoint, it means a whole lot more to some of the players who will be playing in the game. Here are five things to watch:1. Bubble battlesI covered this at length in its own post, including several specific position battles that will be waged on the field (which you can see here). Those battles are the main event in this game. You figure between 15 and 20 players won’t suit up for the game. Of the players who will play, more than half of them won’t be on the roster come Saturday. What their fate will be could be decided in this game. That could be earning a spot on the Raiders roster, or showcasing their talent to get a look from another team.2. OT ready or not?One of the scariest positions on the Raiders roster right now is the tackle spots. Both of them. The first question is whether Kolton Miller and Donald Penn will play in the game. Both are desperate for reps. Miller is a rookie who has been up and down at the left tackle spot and Donald Penn was absolutely lost in his first game at right tackle last week. It seems a no-brainer they should play, but Gruden didn’t dress Miller for the team’s game in LA against the Rams and has said most of the veterans will not play Thursday night.Should they play Jordy Nelson Jersey , we will be looking for considerable improvement from last week. Mostly because they won’t even be facing starters and if you can’t handle backups, how can you be counted upon to handle the elite pass rushers in the AFC West? It is vital that they both show improvement.3. Seabass the SeahawkBrace yourselves, Raider Nation. You’re about to get a long look at Sebastian Janikowski in a Seahawks uniform. The 18-year Raiders kicker has won the kicker job in Seattle. So, while the Raiders are now fielding Ted Mike Nugent at kicker because Eddy Pineiro is out with a groin injury, their steadfast kicker of 17 NFL seasons is kicking for someone else. 4. Who sits from the secondary?Few things are set in stone with regard to the secondary on this team. While every other position group sat their starters in week two against the Rams, the secondary remained relatively unchanged. There are still battles going on there both for roster spots and for positions on the depth chart. If the team sits a player, and it’s not for injury reasons Authentic Rashaan Melvin Jersey , that’s an indication they have won the starting job or at very least a roster spot. If not, they still have something to fight for. 5. Hidden agendaMany times in final preseason games, a player will dress, but see little to no time. A player some thought had a pretty decent shot at the roster. That’s because the Raiders hope to waive the player but would like him to slip through waivers so they can place him on the practice squad. The last thing they want in this instance is to give that player more visibility and run the risk of that player being scooped up by another team. DraftKings have become a strategic focus for daily fantasy players at the same time the NFL becomes more of a passing league. With scoring up https://www.ramsfanstore.com/Sam-Shields-Jersey , a strategy of stacking — pairing a QB with his pass-catchers — has shown to be the best way to win big tournaments. Winning lineups last week featured Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (300-plus passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 80-plus rushing yards and a rushing TD) paired with tight end Trey Burton and running back Tarik Cohen. Many of the top lineups also featured another running back from the same game, as New England Patriots RB James White had eight catches and two receiving touchdowns with nearly 100 all-purpose yards. The traditional method of stacking in daily fantasy tournaments has leaned on pairing a quarterback with a wide receiver or tight end. But the modern NFL has shown pass-catching backs to be valuable components of stacks. Using DailyRoto’s daily fantasy lineup optimizer we are able to identify a few unconventional stacks that focus on QB and pass-catching RB targets.OAKLAND: QB Derek Carr plus RB Jalen Richard and WR Jordy Nelson or TE Jared CookRichard ranks 12th in the NFL in market share of targets this year, receiving 16.3 percent of all Oakland passing targets despite playing on just 35 percent of snaps this season. With Marshawn Lynch injured, Richard and Doug Martin will receive elevated playing time and with Amari Cooper traded to Dallas it is Richard that will see an expanded role and benefit even more in PPR formats. Oakland is projected to be playing from behind as a 3-point underdog at home and the game flow should leave Richard on the field. DailyRoto has Richard projected for 15 percent of his team’s targets and a top 5 value at the position. The stack of Carr-Richard-Nelson or Carr-Richard-Cook will cost you less than $15,000 of total salary cap on DraftKings, provides top 5 values at each position and allows you to spend up at other positions.LOS ANGELES RAMS: QB Jared Goff plus RB Todd Gurley and WR Robert Woods or WR Brandin CooksThe Rams have a 32 1/2-point implied team total in the betting markets and Las Vegas expects either the Rams or Chiefs to finish as the highest scoring individual team. Gurley is on pace for 32 touchdowns this season, which would break the current record of 31, and already has three receiving touchdowns and 270 yards through the air. Gurley is averaging five targets per game and has a steady receiving floor. If Goff is going to pay off his price tag ($8,500 on FanDuel and $6 Brandin Cooks Color Rush Jersey ,000 on DraftKings) and win daily fantasy tournaments he will need to throw for 300-plus yards and generate three or more touchdowns. If he is to do that it will likely go through Gurley, Woods and Brandin Cooks. Cooper Kupp’s status for the Sunday matchup with the Packers is still on the unlikely side and if he sits, DailyRoto has Woods and Cooks projected to split 50 percent of the passing targets. Unlike last week’s matchup with the 49ers, when the Rams were able to take their foot off the gas in the second half, Sean McVay will want to keep the pressure on to stay ahead of Aaron Rodgers. Woods and Cooks are projected to top 180 yards receiving and can be stacked either together or with Gurley to generate tournament-winning upside. THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams are the NFL’s only unbeaten team at 8-0. They’re off to the franchise’s best start since 1969, and they have a 3½-game lead in the NFC West with stellar play on both sides of the ball. Now imagine them with another pass rusher. That’s what Sean McVay and the Rams’ front office are doing while they attempt to bolster their spectacular start with even more talent before the trade deadline Tuesday. In particular, the Rams acknowledge they are seeking an edge rusher to join Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh on a solid defense that could be formidable with even more pressure on the quarterback.“That could be something that we definitely would look into, based on the availability of some of the players that we’ve looked into,” McVay said of the market for edge rushers. “That would be, yes Brandon Allen Jersey , a possibility.”The Rams are tied for eighth in the NFL with 22 sacks, but 10 of those came from Donald, who has been perhaps even more disruptive in his first season since winning the AP’s Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017. Donald sacked Aaron Rodgers twice and delivered four quarterback hits during Los Angeles’ 29-27 win over Green Bay on Sunday.Suh and do-everything linebacker Cory Littleton also have three sacks apiece this season, but general manager Les Snead would love to add an edge rusher to take pressure off a secondary that’s missing injured cornerback Aqib Talib until at least late November.“I’ve had a couple different discussions with Les with regards to some things that we feel like might be able to upgrade our team,” McVay said. “If anything ends up going through or not, not really sure. But there are some discussions.”COACHING CAROUSELMcVay’s personnel concerns aren’t limited to his roster, either. He realizes the Rams’ remarkable success grabs the attention of teams looking to poach his assistant coaches. After all, he has only been in charge for 24 regular-season games, and he already lost offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur and quarterbacks coach Greg Olson last winter. So McVay wasn’t surprised when two of his top offensive assistants were immediately linked to the Cleveland Browns. Quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor and passing game coordinator/tight ends coach Shane Waldron both featured in immediate speculation about candidates to replace Hue Jackson in the future.“Yeah, I’m aware,” McVay said with a laugh. “I’m sitting there watching when they made the change Ramik Wilson Jersey Black Friday , and the first two guys’ names they mentioned, I’m thinking, ‘Man, I love these guys. I don’t want to lose them, though.'”McVay was the Washington Redskins’ tight ends coach just five years ago, so he is eager to help any assistant in his career pursuits — after the season.“What those guys will do is they’ll continue to work exactly like they have, doing an excellent job coaching and being the best Rams coaches they can be,” McVay said. “Down the line … if that’s something that they have goals to be able to try to achieve, then we’ve got to continue to have success as a team. There’s nothing more exciting than to see people get a chance to grow, if that’s something that they feel like is best for them.”But McVay was more than a bit bemused when his own name immediately showed up in online speculation from one oddsmaker.“I couldn’t be happier to be here with our players, with this organization https://www.ramsfanstore.com/Todd-Gurley-II-Jersey , working for a great owner in Mr. (Stan) Kroenke,” said McVay, who is 19-5 halfway through his second season. “Unless they decide they want to make a change, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”COMEBACK KUPPJared Goff completed just 11 passes to wide receivers during the Rams’ victory over Green Bay, but one of his favorite targets could be back Sunday when Los Angeles visits the New Orleans Saints.Cooper Kupp is “looking good” after missing the past two games with a left knee injury, McVay said.“I think there’s a very good chance that he’s going to be ready to go this week,” McVay said. “I think if we really wanted to press it, he probably could have played (against the Packers).”Kupp has 30 receptions for 438 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns despite playing extensively in only five games. He left the field early in the Rams’ win at Denver on Oct. 14 after a horse-collar tackle by Broncos safety Darian Stewart.Kupp had 62 catches for a team-leading 869 yards as a rookie last season.

Calvin Ridley is going through quite an adjustment
Posted by: laiyongcai92 - 11-13-2018, 03:25 AM - Forum: Abgeschmeckt - No Replies

During his college days at Alabama Andy Levitre Jersey , he hardly knew what it was like to lose."It was three games, right?" Ridley said Wednesday, pausing briefly to ponder whether his memory was correct. "Three games," he repeated, shaking his head. "That's crazy."The receiver already has tasted more defeat in his rookie season with the Atlanta Falcons.Expected to be one of the NFL's stronger teams, the Falcons are probably the most disappointing through the first five weeks of the season. Stricken by an epidemic of injuries and plagued by a bunch of close losses, Atlanta (1-4) already faces a three-game deficit in the NFC South and essentially has no more room for error."I'm starting to realize this is the NFL — everyone's good," Ridley said. "It's a hard league."This certainly wasn't what the Falcons expected, just two years removed from a trip to the Super Bowl and coming off another playoff appearance last season, when they went right to the wire with the eventual champion Philadelphia Eagles. But Atlanta got a sampling of what kind of season it was going to be in the very first game.In a prime-time rematch against the Eagles, the Falcons drove to the 5-yard line for the final play of the game but couldn't connect on a potential game-winning pass to Julio Jones . Making the loss even more devastating, safety Keanu Neal went down with a season-ending knee injury and linebacker Deion Jones sustained a serious foot injury that will keep him out at least half the year. After holding off Carolina 31-24 in the home opener, the Falcons lost their next two games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in heartbreaking fashion. New Orleans rallied for a tying touchdown with 84 seconds left in regulation, then won 43-37 in overtime . That was followed by Cincinnati connecting on a TD pass with 12 seconds remaining for a 37-36 victory .The injuries continued to pile up as well. Free safety Ricardo Allen , one of the team's most inspirational leaders, and offensive guard Andy Levitre both went down for the season, while running back Devonta Freeman missed three games with a bruised knee and Grady Jarrett was sidelined by a sprained ankle.Last weekend, the Falcons had a total meltdown at Pittsburgh. The Steelers ran wild in the second half, scoring four touchdowns on the way to a 41-17 blowout .It was the second-worst loss of Dan Quinn's coaching career Authentic Devonta Freeman Jersey , surpassed only by a 38-0 rout by Carolina in 2015 — his rookie season at the helm."We didn't expect to be here," Quinn said, "but we damn sure don't expect to stay here."Perpetually upbeat and one who favors slogans and themes to motivate his players, Quinn doled out T-shirts that he hopes will help snap the Falcons out of their slump."Own Now" is emblazoned across the front."We know there's going to be adversity," cornerback Robert Alford said. "But we've still got a lot of ball ahead of us."The most pressing concern is an atrocious defense, which simply hasn't been able to deal with the loss of three key players (and it was four last week, with Jarrett on the sideline). For the first time since 1987, the Falcons have surrendered at least 37 points in three straight games. Before this stretch, that Carolina debacle from three years ago was the only time Atlanta had given up that many points in a game during the Quinn era.Missed tackles have been a major issue. There were at least 10 against the Steelers, prompting Quinn to devote additional time in practice to basic fundamentals."We've got to get it shored up with some of the men who need extra work," he said. The special teams are another troubling issue. The Falcons have given up blocked punts in two of the last three games, both times on plays where the rusher simply beat his man."That's not acceptable," Quinn said. "It's like being on the bomb squad: getting it right nine out of 10 times is not getting it done."The offense has been more productive under second-year coordinator Steve Sarkisian, but striking a balance between the running and passing games continues to be an issue a times. The Falcons ran just 19 times for 62 yards at Pittsburgh, while Matt Ryan and backup Matt Schaub combined to throw 45 passes. The Steelers were able to tee off on Ryan, who left late in the game with a foot problem after getting sacked for the sixth time.At least the Falcons got some good news when it comes to their star quarterback. Ryan was back at practice Wednesday and said afterward that his injury was nothing serious. He's eager to turn things around, beginning with Sunday's game against NFC South rival Tampa Bay (2-2).The Falcons haven't started 1-5 since 2007, a lost season marred by Michael Vick going to prison for dogfighting and coach Bobby Petrino abandoning the team with three weeks to go."You don't have to do anything extraordinary," Ryan said. "You just have to do the ordinary things really well Youth Ricardo Allen Jersey , over and over and over. That's the recipe for success."Follow Paul Newberry on Twitter at pnewberry1963 . His work can be found at s://apnews/search/paul%20newberryMatt Ryan 3rd player EVER to complete 80% of his passes, rush for 2 touchdowns Matt Ryan has quietly added his name to a number of NFL records. Those are usually centered around passing efficiency, yards per attempt, passing yards, and things like that. Today’s game against the Carolina Panthers put Ryan is some unusual company.Ryan showed his wheels and rushed for two touchdowns. That’s one way to improve a slumping red zone offense! Here’s the specifics. That’s right, Ryan matched both Cam Newton and Jeff Garcia way back during his time in San Francisco. Ryan may have some irregular games. Against the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, he never looked comfortable in the pocket. He completed under 50 percent of his passes for the first time since 2011. It was the 11th worst game of his career based on his quarterback rating. The most consistent thing is Ryan will battle back after a bad game, and this was no different. Ryan made a punishing Carolina Panthers defense look more like the 2014 Falcons defense. You remember the one that was the worst in the league and still pumped in fake crowd noise. It was a pretty masterful performance, with Ryan completing 23 of 28 passes for 272 yards for an 82.1 completion percentage, 9.71 yards per attempt, two passing touchdowns, and four attempts for 18 yards and two awesome rushing touchdowns. It felt like a return to 2016. We saw the return to pre-snap motion, sweet play-action bootlegs, and working down the pass catching options: Ryan tossed to eight different players.Ryan showed some concerned fans that he’s still got it. Seriously, that stat line is just silly, and the Panthers are no pushovers.

The Falcons replace the defense en masse in this week’s sacrifice
Posted by: laiyongcai92 - 11-13-2018, 02:59 AM - Forum: Abgeschmeckt - No Replies

It was Wednesday before Damontae Kazee noticed that anything was amiss. There had been worrying signs Atlanta Falcons Womens Hoodie , in retrospect. Robert Alford had taken to wearing black tracksuits and motivational t-shirts, starting on Monday morning. Vic Beasley was listening to “Everybody” by Backstreet Boys on loop and Tweeting about Drew Brees. And Duke Riley had shaved off his trademark Louisiana waterfall, replacing it with a shaved head and sensible goatee. But it was only Wednesday that he heard the chants. When Dan Quinn entered the room to speak with the defense, they greeted him, their voices hollow and yet triumphant.“Good morning, Coachlord!” they cried as Quinn greeted them with a grimacing flash of teeth. “Good morning, team!” he returned, his voice raspy and his cape sweeping seemingly across the entire room. “Today is another day, and our return to glory is nigh. I have every confidence you will play as you were born to do, as if you were forged in the flames beneath this very facility!”After his speech, Quinn blinked, long and slow.“I mean heck! The flames of heck!” Kazee blinked, too, but it was with suspicion and fear. A glance around the room showed his teammates swaying with dull red glows to their eyes, like Kroy Biermann’s contacts on a winter evening. When Quinn swept out of the room, and his teammates on defense sat dully around the locker room, Kazee decided to follow him. It was not hard to do Julio Jones Jersey Limited , as the darkness seemed to gather around his head coach as he strode toward his office. When the great iron doors shut behind him, Kazee speared himself across the hallway and leaned his ear against the door. He did not take off his helmet. The voices he heard were muffled, but the words were still clear. “Your plan to sacrifice the entire defense, replacing them with clay homunculi fired in the forges of the Under Zaxby’s, was a stroke of genius,” Quinn muttered.“Of course it was! If you cannot prevent this defense from allowing more than 120 points in three weeks, I will take matters into my own wings,” boomed a voice in return, all metal-on-metal. “Are you not worried that despite their obvious discipline, these horrors-that-would-be-men will still struggle with tackling? I mean, they’re made of clay,” Quinn asked tentatively. “Oh, now you’re worried about tackling,” groused the iron voice. “Where was that concern last week? Or the week before that? Or the week before that? These creatures do not tire, do not slacken, and do not compliment Drew Brees on Twitter, for which you are quite welcome.” Kazee shifted at that http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/...nes-jersey , and his helmet banged against the door with a reverberating boom. He hurried away from the door, but it slammed open and Quinn was gliding toward him on what Kazee swore was a cloud of shadows. “Don’t come any closer, Coach!” Kazee cried, head down threateningly. “I won’t be turned into one of your monsters!” “I still need you, Damontae,” Quinn said soothingly as he slid closer, his voice as soft and rustly as bat wings in sensible velvet evening wear. “Despite your penchant for tackling like Ralph Wiggum through a bay window, you are the steadiest defender we have besides Takk, who I believe is still engaged in hand-to-hand combat in the fiery pits below this facility. There is no need to replace you, and indeed, I would hope the need will never come.”Kazee warily looked up. “You’re not going to throw me into a pit of fire?”“No, no! This defense needs a leader, especially because it turns out that homonculi are very bad at freelancing. We must achieve results soon, and you will be counted on to ensure we do. Otherwise, our lives will all be forfeit,” Quinn said. “Anyways, have a great night! See you tomorrow.” At that Matt Ryan Jersey Limited , Quinn turned smartly and headed back into his office, leaving Kazee alone in the darkening hallway with his thoughts. “He’ll be trouble, I’d wager,” the Great Metal Falcon said, disapproving and steely. “If he is, he will be dealt with,” Quinn returned with a grim smile. “After all, for us, the answers are within our own locker room...or our own subsurface hellscape!” The resulting boom of laughter was so loud Kazee could hear it as he prepared himself to re-enter the locker room and the growing sounds of the Backstreet Boys.Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Monday, Sept. 10 We’ve had three full days to digest the Falcons’ ugly loss to the Eagles, and I’ve had three whole days to rifle through all of the post-game analysis, gripes, and laments. They’re compiled below, so if you’re in the mood to read some bad stuff penned by great writers, you’re in luck! Here’s today’s edition of Falcoholinks.Oh, Keanu. We’ll miss you terribly. With a still sour taste in our mouths from Atlanta’s last meeting in Philadelphia, this game was like eating warheads dipped in ipecac syrup. The Falcons of course dropped the opener 18-12 http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/...yan-jersey , but adding a massive injury to that insult was the following day’s news that star strong safety Keanu Neal would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Neal is already one of the league’s top safeties, and he was poised to take his game to the next level in 2018. We’ll have to wait until 2019 to see the Falcons’ enforcer on the field again. Replacing him will require some creativity on the part of the Falcons’ coaching staff, and word out of Flowery Branch is that the team plans to turn to in-house options instead of seeking outside help. Things got worse when Sark ran vertsThat final red zone series was eerily reminiscent of last January’s playoff meeting against the Eagles, both in execution and result. You know how it went, but The Falcoholic’s Adnan Ikic took a deep dive into Sarkisian’s play-calling at the end of the game, and hammered home what we all saw on Thursday: the red zone woes have returned like a plague ship.Matt Ryan’s awful openerQuarterback Matt Ryan has put together some memorable opening games. This one was memorable for all of the wrong reasons. The AJC’s D. Orlando Ledbetter had a roundup of many analysts who are already jumping off the Ryan train. Atlanta’s franchise signal-caller and new recipient of a five-year mega-deal posted the lowest quarterback rating in a season-opener in his career. There are legitimate concerns with Steve Sarkisian’s play-calling, but Matt Ryan deserves a large share of the blame for his poor execution in Philadelphia. For this, he was the season’s first sacrifice to the Great Metal Falcon. May he return for Week 2 whole and unaccompanied by a dark passenger. Here’s to Week 2We’ve got a full week to ruminate on the Eagles loss, but it’s important to put it all into its proper context. This team has some glaring question marks, primarily in red zone play-calling and execution, but it’s still an extremely talented squad. Writer and resident optimist Cory Woodroof takes the temperature down a few notches and provides a stark reminder that a poor showing in Week 1 does not a losing season make. The Falcons have the Carolina Panthers in on Sunday, so here’s to a better showing at home.

Atlanta Falcons roster cuts: what do Friday’s cuts mean for the team?
Posted by: laiyongcai92 - 11-13-2018, 02:33 AM - Forum: Abgeschmeckt - No Replies

The Atlanta Falcons are gearing up for the regular season Black Deion Jones Jersey , but they still have some tough decisions to make before they settle on their initial 53 man roster. Several roster cuts rolled in yesterday. Let’s take a quick look at those cuts and why talk about why they could matter going forward. RB Malik Williams (injury settlement)Williams singlehandedly made the preseason game against the Miami Dolphins worth watching. His third quarter shoulder injury was pretty heartbreaking, if you put it in context. The injury settlement doesn’t necessarily rule out a future relationship between the Falcons and Williams, who was arguably headed for the practice squad. (Depending on the terms of the injury settlement, the Falcons could actually re-sign him later this season.)WR Christian BlakeBlake had long shot odds of making this team, and the Northern Illinois product never really helped his cause during the preseason. The Falcons are stacked at wide receiver, which means we’re likely to forget Blake’s name sooner rather than later. C/G Jamil DouglasWe heard some chatter about Douglas booting Sean Harlow from the roster, but that’s not how it played out. Notwithstanding an occasional flash or two during preseason practices, Douglas couldn’t show the coaching stuff enough to earn a spot on the 53 man roster. G Sean HarlowThe former fourth round pick is officially unemployed. Yikes. I don’t know if the Falcons are completely done with Harlow, but his transition to guard over the past 18 months certainly didn’t go as planned. G Salesi UhatafeUhatafe had to thread a needle to make this team. He’s a big boy and there’s some raw talent there, but he’s just not NFL ready at this juncture. T Austin PasztorPasztor is a capable offensive lineman with plenty of game experience, but he’s on the decline and the Falcons understandably decided to part ways. The Falcons have a deep offensive line, and Pasztor unfortunately found himself on the outside looking in. DE Anthony WinbushWinbush couldn’t overcome a lack of size and pure athleticism in his pursuit of an NFL roster spot. He’s just scrappy enough to find a way onto a practice squad, be it with the Atlanta Falcons or another NFL team. I wouldn’t forget his name yet. DE J’Terius JonesJones found his way onto the practice squad last season. Don’t be surprised if he does it again this season. Setting aside a decidedly mediocre preseason, I can’t see the Falcons giving up on him ... yet. CB Leon McFadden (injury settlement)The journeyman cornerback doesn’t appear to be in the Falcons’ plans for 2018. He was facing an uphill battle given the stacked cornerback depth chart anyway. S Ron ParkerCutting Parker is a bit of a head scratcher for me. In Parker the Falcons had a dependable, proven safety who wasn’t in his prime but could’ve contributed nonetheless. Right or wrong, a lackluster preseason sunk Parker’s opportunity to make this team. One wonders whether he just needed a little more time to get up to speed. For now the Falcons will move forward with Jordan Richards as their fourth safety. The cuts will keep coming and we’ll be here to bring you the latest. For now let’s talk about yesterday’s cuts. Any big surprises? Any guys the Falcons may look to keep around? Discuss!Falcons vs. Saints final score predictions: Will Atlanta triumph in a shootout? Eric Robinson Falcons 38, Saints 30 No Takk, no Devonta, no Debo Black Grady Jarrett Jersey , no Keanu. Spells trouble, right? It’s understandable if it does but when you account for the fact that the Saints are 29th in overall defense, 30th in points, and 29th in passing yards allowed, it’s easy to this as a great matchup for a Falcons offense that found a groove last week against a good Carolina defense. Two keys that are important in this matchup is which team can win on 3rd downs on defense and can the Falcons find offensive rhythm through Ridley, Sanu, Hooper, Coleman, and Smith once again. The Saints have lost four of their last six games in Atlanta. Cory WoodroofFalcons 38, Saints 34 I’m in line with Eric on the point totals, but I’m expecting far-more heartburn for this one. The Falcons might light it up on offense now that Steve Sarkisian is on a roll, and they really might have to if this defense plays like it did last week down the stretch against one of the all-time great comeback quarterbacks in Drew Brees. Losing Deion and Keanu and trying to stop Alvin Kamara is going to be a nightmarish feat, but I actually have faith that Atlanta’s secondary can maintain Michael Thomas and sell out in the front seven to slow Kamara as much as possible. This one should get plenty of fireworks in as long as our offense maintains pace. If Sark has a down week, Atlanta won’t win this. I’m betting he’ll find enough plays to outscore the Saints and build a nice, consistent streak to carry into that now-test against Cincinnati.Dave ChoateFalcons 30, Saints 24I have the Saints scoring less than 30 points, which seems ridiculous given the challenges the Falcons have been facing on defense with key players out. Yet it’s a Falcons-Saints game, where nothing goes as planned, and I feel pretty good about this prediction. The Saints just aren’t there yet. Their defense has regressed Black Logan Paulsen Jersey , but their offense is also shakier than it looks if you’re just glancing at the counting stats, given the way they felt way behind against Tampa Bay before making a comeback and stayed quiet until late against Cleveland. I think the Falcons, who have shown they can bedevil Drew Brees under Dan Quinn, will be able to do enough to hold this team in check, and I have a lot of confidence in the offense’s ability to put points on the board against the worst defense they’ve faced thus far.Anything can happen in a game like this, but the Falcons should be able to win this even with their pile of injuries. Matt ChambersFalcons 36, Saints 32I am very worried about the Falcons defense, but then again, the Saints haven’t looked much like competitors this season. With 3 of the team’s top 5 defensive players out for Sunday, the Falcons will need to score 27+ points to get the win. Against the Saints, they can definitely do that. These games usually end on the very last drive, and I sure as hell won’t be picking the Saints to pull out that W.Kyle McClendonFalcons 31, Saints 28This game SHOULD be a shootout due to the wealth of injuries on Atlanta’s defense and the overall mediocrity of the Saints’ defense. I think it is a high scoring game that comes down to who has the ball most and who has it last. The Falcons defense will have a tough time stopping the Saints, but I don’t think it will be any easier for the New Orleans defense against Matt Ryan and company. If Ryan is on his game again and the offensive line plays well, the Falcons will win a close one. If not, this one could hurt. I’m going to bank on Matt Bryant making a kick and Will Lutz missing one to give Atlanta the win in the first meeting between the two teams.
